Albert Morgan's 100th

Albert Morgan was born in Rhondda Valley, South Wales in 1908. An ex-serviceman, he came to Australia in 1952, as a "10 pound Pom", with his wife Olwen and daughter Valerie. After a period in country NSW the Morgan family moved to Sydney where Albert worked in the Premier's Office.

After 100 years much could be written about his life but Albert says the highlight of his life was being married to Olwen for 70 years.

SydneyCare was priviliged to host Albert's centenary celebration at the Kirribilli Neighbourhood Centre. More than 5O guests celebration Albert's 100 milestone.

The picture shows students from Monte St Angelo, SydneyCare catering volunteers on the day,       with two large collages reflecting the years 1908 & 2008, which they presented to Albert, king for the day as he celebrated his 100th birthday.
